The next April 2nd , a party to thank the whole Renaix community

“ In order not to forget how warmly the Flemish town- Maurizio said - enveloped me while, with my arms up in the air I crossed the finishing line first attaining the gold medal, I have organized a joyful moment on the occasion of the Tour of the Flanders.
Plan for April 2nd
2 pm: reception of all guests ( press, cyclists, official representatives of the town) at the town hall of Renaix, Grand Place 12. A coffee will be offered to everyone along with a résumé of how the afternoon is planned
2.30 pm: a bus will pick all guests up and take them to Rue de la Croix. Fondriest and the other cyclists will prepare themselves, escorted by a racing car and by the police.
2.50 pm Maurizio Fondriest and the other cyclists will start and go to Rue de la Croix direction
3 pm: Arrival of Maurizio Fondriest to Rue de la Croix and delivery/ consignment of his bike Renaix 88 to the town of Renaix
3.15 pm press and all guests will take the bus going to the town hall in Grand Place
3.50 pm: official moment at the town hall, delivery of presents and of the jersey “Thanks Renaix”, followed by a toast and a buffet avec Italian specialities.
The following Saturday, April 3rd, Maurizio Fondriest and other champions, will take part to the bicycle ride of the Tour of Flanders for amateurs. The biggest “Cycletouristic” of Europe, with 20.000 attendants and “French Start”.
A lot of enthusiasts are expected, for a fond memory which will be exciting and full of charm.
