On Sunday in Rivegaro, the combination Fondriest - Fiamme Oro, won again. The team of the Italian Police force, composed of Canuto, Brustolon and Lambruschini, proved to be the Italian Champion in Duathlon competition in team. Yesterday, not as in Rimini where the cycle part of the race was on the sea front, the cycle leg presented a more demanding track including an n uphill of 1 Km (an average of 8%) to face three times.
Alessandro Labruschini, on the phone, makes this brief flash of the competition: “It has been a sensational race, thanks to the first two legs of Canuto and Brustolon, the first restrained the opponents’ attacks, and Brustolon closed the gap we had. On the first leg I had to struggle to have a good lead that I then kept on the last leg. We are really happy to have repeated the success of last year, it is never easy to repeat yourself but we managed. The combination Fiamme Oro- Fondriest is giving us a lot of satisfactions, the bike we have at our disposal is excellent, we hope to go on like that!”

The Road racing team swept up a lot of successes in 2 weeks
On Sunday April 11Th, as a matter of fact, the girls of the team won twice on Fondriest bikes.
At the “44th Prix des Vins Henry Valloton”- “40Th Memorial Jean Luisier” Katazina Sosma dominated the race, remaining among the first ones until 2 km before the arrival when she tried and managed the sprint, crossing the finishing line first, before everyone, including her team-mate Valentina Scandolara, who finished at the third place.
At Lido Fermo, in the Marches, fantastic win for the junior Alessia Martini at the 8th Luciani Trophy in which both junior and under 20 were competing.
Alessia arrived first among the about 70 athletes at the start, defeating even the 15 under 20.
A really impressive competition by the athlete who wears the colours of velo Club who, during the final sprint, even if starting far off, imposed herself clearly on Rossella Ratto of the team U.S. Cassina Rizzardi, and on Viviana Gatto of the team Artuso Avantec. And she demonstrated she really deserves to be part of the Italian team.
Last Sunday the Velo Club confirmed itself in Geneva at the Grand Prix de Lancy – Union Velocipedique Genevoise. Valentina Scandolara was the one who placed herself before all other opponents and won the race.
In an extraordinary sprint of seven athletes, Valentina crossed the finishing line first. Her team mate Katazina Sosna finished with a good 8th place.
In the words of Stefano Cugini, the chairman of the Vaiano Tepso Solaristech, there is a lot of satisfaction for this beginning of season and for having chosen Fondriest bikes:
“We are one of the youngest team, and since the beginning the value of the girls is under the eyes of everyone. We exceed all our expectations for the beginning of the season. Our biggest goal is the Under 26 and Juniores European Championships. This year we want to lay the foundations for the 2012 Olympics where we really want to play a leading role. We have been using the TF1 for 2 years, one of the top range products, a custom-made frame and we hare very happy with this model.
