Fondriest ist die “Racing”-Marke, die 2006 zur Gruppe hinzukam und zu einem deutlichen Mentalitätswandel innerhalb von Cicli Esperia beitrug.

Wir erleben tatsächlich eine erhebliche Zunahme der strategischen Sensibilität in Bezug auf die Produktion und den Vertrieb von High-End-Fahrrädern.

Dies hat es uns ermöglicht, einen Teil unserer Ressourcen auf die Schaffung von Rahmen und Fahrrädern mit hoher Leistung zu konzentrieren, die sich an Wettkampfsportler und die anspruchsvollsten Zweirad-Enthusiasten richten.

MAURIZIO FONDRIEST – DER ATHLET

Maurizio Fondriest wurde am 15. Januar 1965 in Cles (Trento) im Herzen des Val di Non geboren. In seinen zwölf Profisaisons umfasst seine Palmarès 69 Siege in Straßenrennen. Als Gewinner einer Weltmeisterschaft im Alter von nur 23 Jahren gewann er die Rad-Weltmeisterschaft zweimal, 1991 und 1993, dominierte 1993 das legendäre Mailand-San Remo und sicherte sich während seiner Profikarriere eine unglaubliche Reihe von Erfolgen sowohl bei den Klassikern als auch bei den Etappen des Giro d’Italia und der Tour de France. Heute wie damals ist er vor allem ein großer Enthusiast des Radsports. Akribisch und sorgfältig in den technischen Aspekten des Fahrrads, ist seine Aufmerksamkeit für die perfekte Sitzposition legendär. Nach einer beruflichen Karriere im Sport stellt er Familienwerte an erste Stelle, aber das Leben eines großen Champions muss auch in der Zukunft Kontinuität finden. Aus diesem Grund betreut Maurizio heute zahlreiche junge Radfahrer, die in die Welt des Radsports eintreten, und überträgt ihnen durch sein außergewöhnliches Beispiel seinen reichen Schatz an Ratschlägen und Erfahrungen. Seit er seinen Namen auf die ersten Rahmen gesetzt hat, hat er verstanden, dass jedes Detail des Fahrrads seine Persönlichkeit und Professionalität widerspiegeln sollte. Im Laufe der Jahre hat er zahlreiche Patente angemeldet, weil er immer an Forschung und Entwicklung geglaubt hat, und jede Idee, die sich konkretisiert, ist eine neue Herausforderung, die auf ihn wartet.

1987

DAS DEBÜT IN DER WELT DER GROSSEN

Nach vielen Siegen bei den Amateuren und nach dem Gewinn des Giro delle Regioni im Jahr 1986 beginnt Maurizio Fondriest seine Profikarriere im Trikot von Ecoflam unter der Leitung von Giuseppe Martinelli.

1988

MAURIZIO FONDRIEST GEWINNT DIE WELTMEISTERSCHAFT

Das Jahr 1988 markiert den Höhepunkt von Maurizio Fondriests Karriere mit dem Gewinn der Weltmeisterschaft in Renaix, Belgien. Mit nur 23 Jahren gewinnt Maurizio auch eine Etappe der Tirreno-Adriatico und wird Zweiter bei Mailand-San Remo.

1993

1993: DAS JAHR DER REKORDE

Es ist das Jahr der Rekorde mit 25 Erfolgen: Mailand-San Remo und Flèche Wallonne, dazu der GP Zürich, eine Etappe beim Giro, der Gesamtsieg beim Giro del Trentino, Tirreno-Adriatico, Grand Prix du Midi Libre und Escalada a Montjuich.

1994

MAURIZIO WECHSELT ZU LAMPRE

Im Jahr 1994 ist Maurizio Fondriest im Team Lampre erneut Protagonist einer hochklassigen Saison, in der er die Tour of Britain, 2 Etappen und die Gesamtwertung beim Giro di Polonia, die Coppa Sabatini und den Giro del Lazio gewinnt.

1998

MAURIZIO FONDRIEST BEENDET SEINE KARRIERE

Nach 11 Jahren im Profisport, 9 Weltmeisterschaften, 4 Giro d’Italia, 4 Tour de France, 2 Vuelta a España, 36 Teilnahmen an den “Monument-Klassikern” und 69 Siegen zieht sich Maurizio Fondriest nach seiner letzten Saison im Trikot des Team Cofidis zurück.

2006

FONDRIEST BICI TRITT IN DIE WELT VON ESPERIA EIN

Nach dem Ende seiner Profikarriere widmet Maurizio Fondriest seine ganze Aufmerksamkeit und Erfahrung dem Bau von Fahrrädern und gründet das Unternehmen Fondriest Bici. Im Jahr 2006 wird das Unternehmen von der Cicli Esperia Gruppe übernommen.
